During the wedding ceremony feast, there is often a boogie, or kolo, in which guests joined in a circle to dance. The flow was generally accompanied by folks music and songs. During the kolo, the groom’s family would sing special songs to welcome the bride.
Besides the dancing and singing, there have been many other situations that occurred at the wedding. A Kum (best man) was chosen and having been decorated with flowers and a package of rakija. The Kum then visited the groom’s close friends and offered these people a sip of rakija. In this way, they approved the invites to the marriage. Those who did not, were regarded bad friends. Interestingly enough, this same custom is still followed in some regions.
